We will continue our discussion of Opportunity during our lessons this week, November 3. This week, we’ll be talking together about how taking up an Opportunity can sometimes require great courage from us. Our in-class discussion lesson follows below:
“We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.” — Charles R. Swindoll (Pastor, Author, Teacher)
Have you ever wanted to do something, but hesitated from starting it because you weren’t sure you could really do it? That you thought it might be too difficult for you? We all face situations like this. The Promotion Exam for 1st Dan is hard, and it can be intimidating. It is important to remember that we will never know what we can accomplish if we never actually try. It can take real courage to take up a new opportunity, especially when we are afraid that we might fail.
1) What do you think is an “impossible situation”?
2) Have you ever been scared of trying something new?
3) Is your Promotion Exam an opportunity?
