Ambition, Week 4

During our lessons this week, we will talk about Ambition moving us to set fresh, challenging goals for ourselves.  Our in-class discussion lesson for this week follows below:

“Ambition never comes to an end.” — Yoshida Kenko (author and poet)

Goal setting is an important part of life.  If you don’t have goals, you can drift — become bored, frustrated, or aimless.  Achieving a goal is always a significant accomplishment, and deserves to be celebrated.  But, once we have accomplished a goal, it is important to set fresh goals for ourselves.  There are always new roads to travel, new challenges to meet.  Keep working toward your goals;  there is no limit to the things you can achieve.

Discussion Questions:

1)  How do you feel when you accomplish something new?

2)  What is a particularly challenging goal you have set for yourself?

3)  What can you do to stay motivated to achieve your goals?

Please share your answers to these questions, and your thoughts about Ambition, with our school community by using the form below.
