We’ll continue to discuss Inspiration during our lessons this week. We’ll be talking together about how other students in our karate lessons can inspire us. Our in-class discussion lesson for this week follows below:
“It’s not how good you are, it’s how good you want to be.” — Paul Arden (author)
When you are in karate class, what is it that inspires you to do your very best? Is there someone you see in class who inspires you to try harder? It is important to remember that other students who are in class with us can inspire us. You can watch them, learn from what they do, and become an even better martial artist. You don’t have to learn just from your instructors. You can have many inspirational figures in your life — you just have to look for them. Listen to them as well, and ask for their help when you need it. You never know what you might hear that will inspire you.
1) What do you do in karate now that really inspires you?
2) What would you most like to be able to do in karate one day?
3) Does this inspire you — get you excited, and make you want to try as hard as you can?
Please share your answers to these questions, and you thoughts about Inspiration, with our school community by using the form below.
